However, it's not always been like this....
The Great Orator?
It’s 2024, and I’m sitting at my desk, reflecting on a milestone. 1,500 clients. I had counted them.
I posted on Instagram to celebrate and I was incredibly proud.
But suddenly a wave of something else washes over me. Not regret. Not doubt. Just the weight of the journey. The late nights. The endless drafts. The moments where I wondered if any of it would work.
And it made me think....
How Did I Get Here?
I grew up in a northern working-class family in the 1980s. Blue-collar through and through.
Money was tight, opportunities were limited. You kept your head down, worked hard, and got on with it.
I was the smart kid. And although I always had the answers... I rarely told them! A shy introvert who preferred blending into the background rather than being front, centre and stepping into the spotlight.
If a girl so much as said "hello", my face would turn bright red, my mind racing for a response that never came. Conversations felt like battles I wasn’t equipped to fight!

Ignore the Hair!
After years of wasting my potential, I finally took a step forward - enrolling in college, then university, studying Drama and Communication Studies. It was a world away from my beginnings, but I was determined to break out of my shell.
From there, I climbed the corporate ladder, learning how to navigate boardrooms, negotiate deals, and directing departments.
I saw first-hand how communication wasn’t just about what you said or wrote. I was about how you made people feel!
The right words could inspire action, win trust, and open doors.
But something was still missing!
I wanted to do something more creative that mattered to me. Something that gave people a voice.
So in 2020, I started writing speeches in the dead of night, fitting them around my day job, wondering if this idea would ever take off. Would people really pay for my words? Was I wasting my time?
But slowly, those words started to travel. From best men to CEOs, from nervous speakers to industry leaders - my speeches found their way into boardrooms, weddings, and global conferences.
