People are shocked that I was shy and quiet.
When people witness me effortlessly commanding a room or inspiring groups, they find it hard to believe the person I was 25 years ago—a shy kid from a small town, blushing at the mere thought of public speaking or speaking up. It's true (ask my classmates!)

So I know firsthand what it's like to feel your voice drowned out. Born in a small, working-class town, I was the kid who would blush at the mere thought of public speaking or speaking up in class.
Despite my early struggles, I knew I could so much more. In my mind, I could see myself as I wanted to be, but in real life, my paralysing anxiety kept me tangled in nervous knots.

But I felt sick. I felt frustrated. I felt a fraud.

​From Shyness to Spotlight
So when I was a teenager I undertook a transformative journey that saw me break away from toxic environments to concentrate on self-improvement.
My tenacity led me to degrees in Communication Studies and Drama, which subsequently paved the way for my work in theatre, TV, and film.

I learnt how to fake confidence, copy more confident people and build up knowledge. I was a watcher. And I can tell you for an absolute fact that great communication is a skill that can be learned.
A Multi-Faceted Approach
Equipped with dual degrees and qualifications in NLP and Hypnotherapy, I've also climbed the corporate ladder, from the shop floor to the boardroom. Working in several industries.
